Our bodies were not designed to sit for hours. Because of the modern lifestyle sitting at a desk, driving, public transportation, watching tv, reading etc. the majority of us are out of alignment. This habitual pattern day after day has lasting effects that change the musculoskeletal structure of our body. In simple terms: muscles affect the joints and move bones. Certain muscles go dormant from lack of use, other muscles over compensate and work double time. As a result, we become out of alignment and experience pain within the body. Some may blame injury, or think this is the norm as we age. From working with people of all ages and body types my clients have taught me that we can live a modern lifestyle and be pain free.
Kim’s classes make everyone feel comfortable. Each person can work at their own level and pace without feeling intimidated. Kim has the ability to engage the students and meet them where they are at. She gives modifications for beginners and instructions to challenge the more advanced students.
Kim’s private lessons include a one to one meeting where she inquires and listens to what the practitioner top priorities are. She takes pictures of your posture. Then a personalized blueprint is made. An individual menu is designed specifically for your body. (Menu: a series of poses in a specific order).
