Restorative yoga is a form of yoga that helps relax your mind and body with the use and aid of props. The props will help you maintain balance while your body relaxes. Restorative yoga benefits the entire body, heart and lungs. After a session, my clients tell me they have more energy, feel relaxed, rested and focused.
Benefits
- Will lower your heart rate
- Relieve stress
- Release Deep chronic tension
- Improve sleep
- Soothe the nervous system
- Encourage mindfulness
- Reduce fatigue
- Assist muscles in recovering from injury
- Decrease depression and fatigue

My teacher Judith Hanson Lasater says, “restorative yoga is active relaxation, it is not stretching. By supporting the body with props, we alternately stimulate and relax the body to move toward balance.”
Many of my clients have gotten injured in what I call “gym yoga”. It is my hope that all people may be free to enjoy the benefits of yoga without the strain and fear of getting hurt, and causing further damage or pain to their bodies. Let me support you while we work through illness, injury or perhaps the stress from daily life together.
